Esha is eldest daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini. She is the half-sister of Sunny and Bobby Deol.

Besides working in movies, Esha is an accomplished Bharatanatyam and Odissi dancer and National Level football player.

She speaks Tamil fluently with her mother Hema Malini and sister Ahana Deol

Her debut film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, did not do well at the box office, but her performance was noticed, and she won the Lux New Face Award for this movie. She starred in a number of films over the next two years, but none of them succeeded. She finally had her first big hit in Dhoom (2004). This was followed by a Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan joint production, Kaal. Her next hit, Boney Kapoor's No Entry was declared the biggest grosser of 2005. She also had a hit with the action thriller Dus. She is set to star in her mother's next directorial venture with Rekha and Abhishek Bachchan and also a film in which her mother and her will be starring together in for the first time.

Emraan Hashmi was born to a Muslim father and Catholic mother. After graduation he made up his mind to pursue his career in film industry.
Imran Hashmi made his Bollywood debut with the film "Footpath". But he shot into fame with the hit film "Murder". Aishwarya Rai was born in the south indian state of Karnataka in Manglore on 1st Nov 1973. She was younger of the two siblings, her brother being 3 yrs elder. Known in the industry as the Khallas girl, Isha Koppikar shot to fame with her song number in Ram Gopal Verma's movie Company. This 5'7" Mumbai beauty was born in 1976. Isha's performance in Company mezmerised movie go-ers. This tall, beautiful and talented girl turned her walk-on role to a have-to-see-again experience.

She had actually started her glamour career with modelling. Modelling assignments trickled in after she did a photo shoot with Gautam Rajyadhyaksha when she was still in junior college. But that was just the beginning. Some of the bigger names that she had modeled for are Deepam sarees,Ponds, Camay, Rexona, Synergy, Coke, L'Oreal and Tips & Toes. She also did about five or six ramp shows. But in 1995, at the Miss India 1995 contest, she won the Miss Talent crown.

Coming from a family of academics, she first finish her degree in Life Sciences in Ruia College, Mumbai. After that her first film was in Tamil, En Swasa Katre. She was cast opposite 'Arvind Swamy', who was at the peak of his fame at that time. The film got rave reviews and she was expected to be a big hit in the south.

Though her work was in the South, her heart was set on making a name for herself in Mumbai. She did small roles in Fiza and Pyar, Ishq aur Mohabbat. Some of the other movies that released are Sanjay Gupta's multistarrer Kaante, Plan with Dino Morea. But she got the much wanted and needed break from Ram Gopal Verma. Her item song "Khallas" became all the rage. She is nominated as a villian for film Qayamat. In Pinjar her performance was good but any how film didn't work.

Shahid was born to actor Pankaj Kapoor (Karamchand) fame and actress/classical dancer Neelima Azeem. His parents divorced when he was three and he usually lived with his mother. From a very young age, he was recognized as a performer, particularly as a dancer. Akshay Kumar lived in Delhi for some time before moving to Mumbai. He lived in Koliwada which was a Punjabi dominated area. And then moved to Amritsar. He studied at Don Bosco school and then Khalsa College, where he took an interest in sports.

He studied Martial arts in Bangkok and worked as a Chief. His fall into acting came when producer Pramod Chakravarthy, saw his portfolio and offered the lead role in Deedar.

Carrer:

His first Bollywood film was saugandh in 1991 which was unnoticed.

His first major hit was the 1992 thriller film Khiladi.

1993 saw a drop as many of his films failed to do well.

However, 1994 proved to be a good year for Kumar as he followed up his success with Khiladi with the action thriller Main Khiladi tu anari and the action hit Mohra which was one of the highest grossing films of the year.Later that year, Yash Chopra signed him for the romantic film Yeh dilagi which was also a success.

He received appreciation for his performance in this film, where he played a romantic role which was different compared to his action roles. Consequently, he received various nominations for Best Actor award at the Filmfare and Star Screen ceremonies. All these achievements, promoted Kumar as one of the most successful actors of that year.

In 1995, along with his share of unsuccessful movies, he starred in the third film in his Khiladi series Sab se bada khiladi, which was another hit. He proved to have success with the Khiladi series, as in the next year he starred in the fourth hit film with Khiladi in the title, Kiladiyo ka khiladi opposite Rekha and Rveena Tandon, which was one of the highest grossing films of the year.

In 1997, he made an extended guest appearance in Yash Chopra's hit film Dil to pagal hai, for which he received a Film Fair Best Supporting Actor award nomination.

In the same year, he attempted a comedy role with the fifth film in the Khiladi series, Mr. and Mrs. khiladi which was unsuccessful. Along with this film, his next few Khiladi films went on to fail at the box office. In 1999, he received critical acclaim for his roles in the films Sangharsh and in the box office hit Jaanwar.

In 2000 he starred in the comedy Hera Phari (2000) which was a success and showcased his talent at doing comedy just as well as action or romantic roles. He also starred in the romantic film Dhadkan later that same year which was also a box office hit. In 2001, Kumar played a negative role in the film Ajnabee for which he won much acclaim as well as the Film Fair Best villain award .

After the success of Hera Pheri, he starred in many successful comedy films which include Aawara pagal deewana (2002), Mujhse shadi karogi (2004) and Garam Masala (2005).

Apart from his action, comedy and romantic roles he also displayed a flair for dramatic roles in films such as Ek Rishta (2001), Ajanbee (2001), Bewafa(2005) and Waqt:The race against time (2005) which did moderately well in India, but was a hit overseas.

In 2006 he starred in a sequel to Hera Pheri titled Phir Hera Pheri which was a huge success at the box office.

Later that year he starred alongside Salman Khan in the romantic musical film Jaan-E-Maan which did not do as well as expected at the box office. Though the film under-performed, his role as a shy, lovable nerd was praised. He ended the year with Bhagam Bhag which was a success.

2007 proved to be one of his most successful years dows his career. His first release, Namaste Landon was critically and commercially successful in both India and overseas. Kumar's second release Hey Babyy has also done extremely well at the box office. His 3rd release, Bhul Bhulaiya, also was a hit.

Born on December 27, 1965 Salman Khan is the son of the legendary writer Salim Khan, who penned many super-hits in the yesteryear's like Sholay, Deewar, and Don. Salman started his acting carrier in 1988 by doing a supporting role in the movie "Biwi Ho To Aisi". The following year he came up with his leading role in the box office romantic hit MAINE PYAR KIYA (1989). From there he became the heart throb of Indian cinema.

Career:

Salman Khan made his acting debut in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi where he played a supporting role. His first leading role in a Bollywood movie was in Sooraj 's romantic film Meine Pyar Kiya(1989). The film went on to become one of India's highest grossing films.It also won him a Film Fair Best Mail Debut award, and a nomination for Film Fair Best Actor Award.

1990 saw only one film release of Khan, Baaghi, co-starring along with south actress Nagam. The film was a box office success, and it was followed by another successful year in 1991, when he starred in two hit films, Sanam Bewafa and Sajjan.

Despite this tremendous beginning at the box office, all of his releases in 1992 and 1993 resulted as box office failures.

However, Khan significantly restored his success in 1994, with his second venture beside director Sooraj Barjatya in the romance Hum Aap Ke Hai Kon, co-starring Madhuri Dixit. The film was the biggest hit of that year, and turned out a one of Bollywood's highest grossing films ever, placed as the fourth top earner of all times.Apart from being a commercial success, the film was widely acclaimed and Salman was remarkably praised for his performance, earning him a ilm Fair Best Actor Award nomination. The year saw three more releases by Khan, non of which succeeded to make an impact, as the previous one did. Once again he reinvented his success with the 1995 blockbuster Karan Arjun, which was directed by Rakesh Roshan, co-starring along with Rakhee, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Mamta Kulkarni . The film was the second biggest hit of the year, and his role of Karan once again put Salman among the nominees for the ilm Fair Best Actor Award, which was taken by his Karan Arjun co-star Shahrukh Khan.

1996 was followed by two successes. The first one was SanjayLeela Bhnsali's directional debut Khamoshi-the musical, co-starring alongside Manish Koirala, Nana Patekar. Though a box office failure, the film was critically acclaimed. He next starred alongside Sunny Deol and Karishma Kapoor in Rak Kanwar's action hit Jeet.

He had only two releases in 1997: Judwa and Auzar. The former was a comedy directed by David Dhawan co-starring Karishma Kapoor, where he played a double role of twins who were separated at birth. The film was a box office hit. The later, co-starring Shilpa Sheety failed to do well, but developed a cult following after its video release.

He then starred in many hits including Maine Pyar Kiya(1998), Hum Saath Saath Hai(1999), Biwi No1 (1999), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam(1999), Tere Naam (2003), Mujhse Shaddi Karogi (2004) and No Entry(2005).

Khan has starred in the highest earning films of 1989, 1991, 1994, 1999, and 2005.

His recent release Partner has done very well at the box office and looks set to be the biggest hit of the year.

He recently appeared in his first Hollywood movie, MarryGold-An Adventure in India opposite American actress Ali larter which was released on August 18, 2007, which was a major box office failure.

Though she played badminton during her school days and reached to the level of a State player, she did not take her game to the national level as she had set her sights on the glamorous world of showbiz.

Pursuing her dreams, Deepika Padukone quickly became a model endorsing leading brands like Liril soap, Limca, Close-Up toothpaste, Kingfisher and several other products, which include international cosmetics giant Maybelline. The pretty svelte model won numerous awards for her modeling style. Her sensuous photographs appearing on the 2006 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar has virtually proved that she is indeed a supermodel in her own right.

She was chosen as the 'Model of the Year' by Kingfisher at its Fashion Awards; and further was awarded the 'Female Model of the Year' award in commercial assignments category and 'Fresh Face of the Year' at Idea Zee Fashion F Awards.

Deepika Padukone entered film industry with a Kannada film, "Aishwarya" in 2006 starring opposite Kannada hero, Upendra. The following year she bagged three Bollywood films, "Om Shanti Om", "Pirate" and "Delhi 6". She has also appeared in a musical video, "Aap Ka Suroor" by Himesh Reshammiya.

This pretty girl has a long way to go in Bollywood and many predict that she will be the next big thing in Bollywood.

Modeling Career :

She attended high school in Bangalore.She has been modelling appearances in print and television advertising campaigns for Liril soap, Dabur Lal powder Close-Up toothpaste and limca, receiving many prestigious modeling offers, including brand ambassadorship of the Jewels of India, an annual jewelry exhibition. She hit the international scene when Maybelline made her their new international cover girl face.

At the fifth annual King Fisher Fashion Awards, for Indian models and designers, she was awarded the title of Model of the Year.

Shortly afterwards, she was chosen as one of the models for the Kingfisher Swim-suit calender for 2006. She also won two trophies at the Idea Zee F Awards in 2006 - Female Model of the year (Commercial Assignments) and Fresh Face of the year. She recently did a commercial for moods. She is a brand ambassador for King Fisher .

On Screen Appearance :

Padukone has branched out from modeling into acting. She started by starring in the movie video for Naam Hai Tera a song from the pop album Aap Ka Suroor, an independent album by Himesh Reshammiya.

More recently Padukone made her cinematic debut in a Kannada Film, Aishwarya, directed by Indejit Lankesh co-starring Upendera. The film has already been successful at the box-office, and Padukone has received rave reviews for her screen presence.

Padukone made her Bollywood debut in the Farah Khan- directed film Om Shanti Om, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In the movie, she has been depicted as a 1970s superstar Shantipriya and later as Sandhya aka Sandy. Padukone has already signed Priyadarshana's next film Pirate, and Made In china opposite Akshay Kumar.
